With a mission to “inspire lives”, RED (Xiaohongshu) is a mobile-centric Chinese social platform launched in 2013 that enables people to share information and build communities.
As “China’s answer to Instagram”, RED (Xiaohongshu) has achieved over 200 millions monthly active users as of January 2023, with 72% of users as young professionals.
Sharon decided to debut her educational channel on RED (Xiaohongshu) primarily due to the fit in target audience: young professionals actively looking for valuable content related to personal and professional development.

The Mission of SharonShare
As an international student who has navigated consulting recruitment, Sharon has experienced and overcome numerous challenges. With reflection and lessons learned from her experiences, Sharon is deeply passionate about helping individuals, especially international students and immigrants to bolster their job search and communication skills, unlocking greater professional potential.
Since 2019, Sharon has been working as a part-time consultant for an educational agency, helping university undergrads with resume editing and job interview prep. With a strong passion to scale her impact, a deep understanding of her client’s pain points, and a plethora of coaching experiences, Sharon launched her educational channel SharonShare in 2021. Via this accessible platform, Sharon shares pragmatic advice and resources regarding job search and professional communications, benefiting a global audience.

SharonShare was launched in March 2021, and has grown from 0 to 78,000+ followers (still-counting) within 2 years. 180+ educational videos have been produced and shared via SharonShare, and the platform has obtained over 3 million content viewership and 224,000+ likes & collects.
In addition, Sharon also provides bespoke coaching services to clients attracted by her content on RED. Since 2021, Sharon has served over 400 clients from over 10 industries including Consulting, Marketing, Human Resource, Technology, and many more. Sharon helps her clients with resume editing, interview preparation, presentation practice, and other personal and professional development endeavors.
